Route/Events

  Train, by Anahit

From the Adriatic and the Black Sea to the Bosporus, Word Express is taking literary creation across frontiers.

In October 2009, three separate groups set out simultaneously from Ljubljana, Bucharest and Sarajevo. At every stop, they were  welcomed by local young writers and took part in readings and workshops. They explored the city and were joined by their hosts to board the train for the next stop, finally converging in Thessaloníki from where the three groups took the final train journey to Istanbul

In 2010, the Word Express writers will meet again at several festivals and workshops across Europe. Watch this space to read the latest and find out about readings and events in your area.
